A journey through time and space

There's a place nearby called Footscray. Initially I thought it was called Footscrape, I'm not sure which sounds worse. Anyway today from my self contained airbnb cabin in Maribynong I went for a walk towards the direction of Footscray and it was must nicer than I expected, come with me on a journey as described by one of the better infographics on my blog:

First I passed an old pipe and meat works, I'm not sure which but there were big pipes everywhere and signs for old historic meat works, further on I came to some islands linked by bridges, a sign before one of the bridges said 'Beware of budget travellers' I thought this was a bit odd, a bit mean perhaps, on closer inspected it actually read ' Beware of bridge traffic' - that made more sense. Sometimes when I'm a bit too far to read what something actually says my brain makes it up based on the limited information so I believe that's what it is, which is probably what happened with Footscrape/ scray. Further on I crossed over near where I've had to split the map in 2 to fit on this thin vertical plane, this section goes through Kensington, the route follows an old stock route which now makes for a lovely car free transit route. Where the circle is at the end I took a tram back to near where I started.

Airbnb

My airbnb is in a little self contained cabin with its own bathroom and fridge and tea facilities. Its very nice as you can see, I'm currently very glad to be separated from the main house as they have a screaming child which has not stopped screaming for hours, how do children not get bored of their own noise? Anyway thankfully the creature no where near me, mind you I don't think a border collie would be on my list of potential pets, Summer was a lovely animal but she wanted lots of attention and if Macy came up and sat on my lap, Summer would get jealous and come over as well, only its easier to fit a small cat in ones lap than a border collie, but of course to Summer size is irrelevant.
