This morning the animals came into my room and Summer flopped on the floor beside the bed and Macy came up to the pillow and made herself comfortable next to me. Summer has an amusing way of flopping onto the floor in which she just seems to fall down with a thump onto the ground. Once a certain group of birds start their chatter in the morning its very important to Summer that she's rushes out to bark at them.
I took Summer for a long walk along creek today, she pulls on the lead but has a special optional lead that stops her pulling but she tries to get it off by rubbing her muzzle on the ground or me whenever I stop, so I didn't have it on her all the time. At a suitable spot I let her off the lead to play fetch where Summer runs after the stick, brings it back and then likes to crunch it up, after using all the throwable sticks in the area we headed back. It was probably a 3 hour walk, this gave Macy a reprieve from Summers play fighting, mind you this seems to happen mostly in the evening - Summer will go to Macy and start gently biting and pawing her and Macy will meow and bite and paw back until she gets annoyed and runs away.
At the moment Summer is asleep with her back legs in the air and Macy is comfortable on the sofa.
